Progressive Bending

Progressive bending is an optimized continuous V-bending technology for manufacturing metal parts with large bending radii. It enables the production of oversized sheet metal components with standard mold equipment, greatly reducing the mold customization cost and becoming a cost-effective solution for large-size product forming. The key point of this process is to complete the bending in one continuous operation, which can effectively avoid the dimensional deviation and misalignment of the workpiece caused by segmented processing.

Profile Roll Bending

Profile roll bending is a specialized process for forming curved and round sheet metal parts such as cylindrical pipes, conical structures and arc-shaped profiles, especially for large-radius bending forming. The equipment is composed of multiple driving rollers and adjustable pressure rollers, and the sheet metal is formed by the friction drive between the rollers. For workpieces that need double-end or middle-section bending, secondary finishing is required with hydraulic bending machines or press brakes to prevent edge flattening and ensure the consistency of the overall bending radian.

Edge Forming Bending

Edge forming bending is a classic process for fine bending of sheet metal edges, which is widely used for small-radius edge folding of thin metal plates. The matching accuracy of the forming die and punch is the core of the process, which directly determines the inner radius size and forming effect of the bent edge. The gap control between the die and punch is the key to avoiding material wrinkling and cracking during bending.
This process features high production repeatability and low operator skill requirements, which is suitable for mass production. The main challenge is the inevitable springback of the material after bending. We adopt the method of adding a positioning flange on the punch and applying secondary pressure to guide the metal flow, which effectively controls the springback. Note that this operation may slightly reduce the local structural strength of the metal, so it needs to be reasonably selected according to the product application scenario.

CNC Rotary Bending

CNC rotary bending is an upgraded edge bending technology that outperforms traditional edge forming and V-bending in multiple aspects. The whole process adopts non-contact forming with special polymer molds, which can completely avoid surface scratches and mold marks of the workpiece, and ensure the perfect surface finish of precision parts.
This technology can realize ultra-precise bending of angles less than 90°, and the springback rate is extremely low for common bending angles, which greatly improves the dimensional accuracy of the product. It also has the advantages of flexible angle adjustment and simple post-forming grinding and assembly height correction, which shortens the overall production cycle.
The only drawback is the higher initial investment of CNC rotary bending equipment, but the long-term cost savings from high efficiency, high yield and reduced post-processing far offset the equipment cost. The process can be completed in one or two passes, and is especially suitable for manufacturing U-shaped groove parts with narrow flanges, with higher forming flexibility than other bending processes.
